There is a lot of talk about drug tests and CBD. Ive seen many posts on social media stating 'I've been taking it for months and have never failed a drug test'. But is that sound advice?
Here is our opinion:
Even though Full (or broad depending upon whose terms you are using) Spectrum CBD (from Hemp) products contain less that 0.3% THC by dry weight (Federal Legal Limit), studies have shown that ingesting Full Spectrum CBD can cause confirmed positive results when screening urine and blood specimens. Accordingly, if you are subject to any form of employment drug testing or screening, we recommend (as does the United States Armed Services) that you DO NOT take Full Spectrum CBD products. Before taking CBD products, consult with your healthcare practitioner, drug screening testing company, or employer.
An isolate should contain the closest to 0% THC, however, there is yet to be a way to remove 100% of the TCH. Also, Random testing of bottles purchased at retailers has shown varying amounts of CBD and THC (ranging from none to more than double stated on the bottle).
The Bottom Line:
If your job is on the line, there is no guarantee that you will not fail a drug test regardless of the product you use.
